Have you researched the diseases that can affect Swissies such as: bloat, splenic torsion, hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, patellar luxation, epilepsy, urinary incontinence, bleeding disorders, etc.? While these are often treatable/manageable, they can be difficult or trying conditions to live with, as well expensive, are you aware of this? Are you willing to care for your Swissy if this occurs?:

If you are interested in a pet quality female, are you willing to wait to spay her until she has had her first heat AND is at least one year old? If you are interested in a male, are you willing to wait until the growth plates have closed before you neuter him (this is between 18 months old and 2 years old depending on the dog)?
